International Police Academy – UNIPOL Appoints Two Senior Indian Police Leaders

The International Police Academy (UNIPOL) proudly announces the appointment of two distinguished Indian Police Service (IPS) officers to key leadership roles within its India Section:

  • Director General Rohit ChoudharyAppointed as Country Director – India Section

  • Director General Akhilesh JhaAppointed as Director of India Affairs – India Section

These appointments are made under the leadership of Dr. Alexander Jan M (Hany El Zahar), Executive Director, Founder, and CEO of the International Police Academy – UNIPOL, and IPA President (Rtd.) Senior Superintendent of Police Shuaib Adam HSC OLY VJ, International Director of Law Enforcement, Police, and Military.This initiative was supported by Prof. Yuval Binstoc (IPA) and Sir Junustia Brecen, following the recommendation and networking facilitation of Miss Pradeepthi Bhandekar, Director of Global Partnerships & Collaborations, Inter-Governmental Security Liaison Expert, and Country Director – India.

A veteran Indian Police Service (IPS) officer with more than 37 years of leadership experience, DG Rohit Choudharybrings an exceptional record in law enforcement, peacekeeping, and public administration. As UNIPOL’s Country Director for India, he is responsible for advancing international police cooperation, institutional development, and professional training excellence.

An accomplished Indian Police Service officer and academic, DG Akhilesh Jha has dedicated his career to advancing policing standards, community empowerment, and education. As UNIPOL’s Director of India Affairs, he leads initiatives in training, policy research, and international police collaboration.
